Lynn Cavanagh holds a PhD in music theory from the University of British Columbia and teaches theory and analysis at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada. Her research concerning the life and music of French organist-composer Jeanne Demessieux (1921–68) has also been published in The Diapason, Context: Journal of Music Research (Australia) and the Bulletin of the Association Maurice & Marie-Madeleine Duruflé (Paris).  She is currently preparing a translation and critical edition of the complete diaries of Demessieux.
