Chung-Ha Kim

Dr. Chung-Ha Kim teaches applied piano, preparatory piano, class piano, and piano pedagogy at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music in New York, her Master of Music and her Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. She remains active as a solo as well as collaborative pianist: recent recitals were at Steinway Piano Gallery (Springfield, Illinois), Harper College, University of Chicago, Millikin University, Western Illinois University, Radford University in Virginia, Mount Union College in Ohio, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kim has published articles in Clavier and Piano Pedagogy Forum. An active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), she served as first vice-president of the Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA) from 2008-2011 and currently serves as the president of the Decatur Area Music Teachers Association (DAMTA).
