Louis Diez is an accomplished arts manager with experience as both a performing musician and administrator. He holds a Master of Music in Viola Performance from the University of Tennessee, and a PhD in Business Administration from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Spain. He also holds degrees in music from the Noord Nederlands Conservatorium.

He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Music Arts Management, a booking agency dedicated to bringing outstanding jazz and classical artists to concert audiences and students around the world. In addition, he serves as Annual Giving Coordinator with the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tennessee, and is a contracted member of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra’s viola section. Previously, he worked with Lincoln Center and AEA Consulting in New York, and has performed throughout the US and Europe as a soloist, chamber musician, and in professional orchestras.

Jacob Anthony Hallman’s passionate pursuit of the beautiful and the articulate leaves him convinced that no profession or talent worth developing should settle for substandard efforts. This belief drives his work to make the world a more engaging place through music and writing. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in Spanish and Saxophone Performance from Oral Roberts University and a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance from the University of Missouri. He also obtained a secondary diploma from Teresa Berganza Conservatory in Spain and studied in France for two years with various artists.

As a curious scholar of the arts, Hallman works as Assistant Editor to Michael J. Budds, Senior Editor of book series CMS Sourcebooks in American Music and Monographs & Bibliographies in American Music. Both series are published by The College Music Society. As a freelance musician, Hallman enjoys playing contemporary classical music and modern jazz. Notable projects include the premiere of “Bumble Beebop,” (2013) composed by Christian Lauba as well as hit single “Things That Really Matter,” from Hallman’s debut album In the Hall (2008).
