Alfredo Colman (PhD, University of Texas at Austin) is an Associate Professor of Musicology and Ethnomusicology at Baylor University. His research focuses on Latin-American musical nationalism and cultural identities, the concert and folkloric musics of Paraguay, and the works of composer Florentín Giménez (1925–2021).
