Heather Strohschein received her PhD in ethnomusicology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. She teaches at Bowling Green State University and Owens Community College in Ohio. Her current research focuses on Javanese gamelan use outside of Indonesia and the performance of affinity, accessibility, inclusivity, and community, particularly through online ethnography.
