Guy Obrecht completed a Ph.D. in music at the University of California San Diego in 2008. He studies cultural processes and musical communities as well technical musical processes. Currently Guy teaches music history and theory courses at Mount Royal University in Calgary Alberta and continues to write, record and perform original music.
