Dr. Jui-Ching Wang is Associate Professor at Northern Illinois University where she teaches music education and world music courses and coordinates world music ensembles such as Chinese music ensemble, Indonesian gamelan ensemble, and Middle Eastern music ensemble. She has published articles in The International Journal of Research in Music Education, Journal of Band Research, and Journal or Historical Research in Music Education (forthcoming), and Chinese articles in The Performing Arts, Taipei Chinese Music, Music Browse, and Journal of Aesthetic Education. She is also a contributor to the New Grove Dictionary of American Music (2nd Edition) and Teaching Asian Art: Content, Context, and Pedagogy.

She has presented papers at professional music education conferences at state, regional, national, and international levels, including Illinois State Music Educators Association Conference (IMEA), the NAfME (former MENC) conferences, the International Society for Music Education (ISME), International Asia-Pacific Symposium of Music Education Research (APSMER), European Association for Music in Schools Congress, and International Music Education Conference in Egypt. She has also presented at interdisciplinary settings, such as the International Society for Education in Art (InSEA) and the Midwest Conference of Asian Affairs. As a clinician advocating the study of music as culture, Dr. Wang has provided training and demonstrations for in-service teachers and students in the U.S. (e.g., 2009 American Orff Schulwerk Association (AOSA) Professional Development Conference, AOSA Rocky Mountain Chapter, Chicago Area Kodaly Educators), China, and Taiwan to help them expand their cultural horizon through music.
