Pianist Deborah Nemko is currently a Fulbright Scholar to the Netherlands for 2014-2015. She regularly appears in concert throughout the United States and abroad as soloist and collaborative artist. Dr. Nemko has performed in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall as well as the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, China. Reviews of her performances describe her “beautiful and incisive playing” Tucson Citizen. Dr. Nemko has given master classes and workshops in Taipei, Taiwan and was recognized by the Taipei Times for her outreach concert in the remote Taiwanese village of Alisan. In 2007 she performed in a concert entitled “When East Meets West” with Japanese musicians in the beautiful concert hall of Ina City, Japan. She is a frequent guest artist and presenter and, in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania Design Institute-Paris in the Schola Cantorum in Paris performs a program entitled “Le Corbusier and Xenakis’s Methods of Composition and Rhythmic Structures, Spanning Between Architecture and Music” with University of Pennsylvania faculty.

Dr. Nemko is Professor of Music at Bridgewater State University and facuelty member of New England Conservatory’s Piano Preparatory and Continuing Education Program. Deborah presented lecture recitals nationally and internationally on the music of Tania Leon, Dianne Goolkasian Rahbee, Henriette Bosmans and Grazyna Bacewicz. In addition, Deborah served on the faculty of the International Master Classes in Belgium with Madame Diane Anderson. She is currently a member of the faculty of the Grumo International Music Festival and a founding member of Bridgewater State University’s Faculty Trio, Trio Fiero.
