Karen A. DeMol, PH.D, served as Professor of Music at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa for 28 years, teaching music theory, music literature, and clarinet. She continues to serve at Dordt as Co-chair of the Music Department and Emerita Adjunct Instructor of Aural Skills; she also serves as General Manager of the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra. She holds degrees from Calvin College, The University of Michigan, and Northwestern University. Her leadership experience includes serving as Chair of the Music Department at Dordt for 26 years, Chair of the Faculty Assembly at Dordt for six years, and, for one semester, leave replacement Dean of Humanities. She also served on the CMS Task Force on Academic Leadership and Administration.
