Janet Hopkins and Armen Shaomian

Armen Shaomian, D.M.A. University of Miami, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, is a concert pianist who has premiered works of notable composers and performed numerous concerts at venues in Europe and the United States. As an associate producer, he has overseen live performance logistics or strategic relations with the Baryshnikov Arts Center, the Smithsonian American Art Museum the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the U.S. Department of Education and U.S. Presidential Scholars program.

 

Janet Hopkins, Associate Professor at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, is a world-renowned dramatic mezzo-soprano who has toured extensively throughout the USA, Japan, and Europe. She has performed at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, at the opening ceremonies of the 1980 Winter Olympics, and many times with the New York Metropolitan Opera, having premiered with the company in 1991.
