Rebecca Belford

Rebecca Belford joined the University at Buffalo Libraries as Music Cataloger/Reference Librarian in 2010. Prior to joining the faculty at the University at Buffalo she held the position of Music Librarian at the University of Oregon. Focusing on representation of music in libraries, her research interests include assessment and enhancement of access to music-related material in library discovery tools, description and discovery of dissertations that include creative works, and description and preservation of nontraditionally-notated music and mixed media works. She has presented on library discovery tools, music cataloging, collection development, and music librarianship education regionally and nationally including at conferences of the Music Library Association and NASIG (North American Serials Interest Group). She holds an MLS in Library and Information Science and an MA in Musicology from the University at Buffalo.
